Allows Canadian citizens or permanent residents to sponsor a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner, and children to become permanent residents.

Spousal sponsorship is a process where a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, who is living in Canada, applies to sponsor his/her spouse or common-law partner, and dependent children. The application must demonstrate that the couple is in a genuine relationship. JFP Immigration has helped many couples through the sponsorship process.

As for the dependent children, once the application is approved, they may come with their parent(s) to Canada. You can sponsor both your natural and adopted children under the age of 22. You can also sponsor the children of your sponsored spouse as well as children of the children.

This program allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their parents and grandparents to become permanent residents of Canada. In order to be eligible to sponsor your parents or grandparents, you must meet specific requirements set out by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Some Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) offer Family Sponsorship programs that may be easier to qualify for than the Federal Family Class category of immigration. Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) allows provinces and territories to nominate individuals whose skills will contribute to regional economic development, and who want to settle in the nominating province or territory.

As of 2021, there are 11 provincial and territorial governments participating in the program. Each PNP has its own criteria for each stream. In total, there are about 85 provincial streams and almost 20 of them have been linked to Express Entry.
