HELPING YOU FIND THE BEST WAY TO IMMIGRATE TO CANADA
Canada is one of the best countries in the world to live and work in, with many paths to achieving immigration. Because each immigrant’s journey is unique, JFP Immigration offers individualized services and support to guide applicants through what can be a daunting and often complex process.
From choosing the right immigration entry program to completing the forms and following up to ensure a successful application, our team’s combined knowledge and experience is with you every step of the way.
The Economic Class program of Immigration refers to individuals who are seeking opportunities in the workforce, including Foreign Skilled Workers and tradespeople, as well as those who possess Canadian work experience. JFP Immigration has helped many successful applicants through all aspects of the Express Entry immigration process.
If you are a professional or a skilled tradesperson, or have experience working in Canada and are looking for Permanent Residence status, there are several economically based government programs that you may qualify for.
You can apply for any of these through Canada’s online Express Entry system, designed to fast-track applicants who may have skills Canada needs.
Each of the following programs has its own eligibility requirements, and you must complete an online profile to apply through Express Entry.
If you meet the requirements—a Comprehensive Ranking System rates your skills, experience, if you have a valid Canadian job offer, education, and English- or French-language abilities—your profile is placed in a pool with other applicants. Periodically, the highest-ranking applicants are invited to apply for Permanent Residence status. If you receive an invitation to apply, you have 60 calendar days to submit an application for Permanent Residence status.
Express Entry is an electronic application management system that manages applications for all Federal economic immigration programs. It will provide applicants with a single online account, which can be used to create and submit an application under any of the three federal immigration programs:
Express Entry assesses such factors as age, education, official language proficiency, work experience and adaptability to determine your Express Entry profile. Our role would be to help you make the best possible Expression of Interest (EoI) for these Federal programs by ensuring that you meet all of the requirements.
FEDERAL SKILLED WORKER PROGRAM
Canada needs more skilled workers, and this program offers qualified candidates with specific skills, one year’s experience, and language proficiency, the opportunity to gain permanent residency.
FEDERAL SKILLED TRADES PROGRAM
This program offers skilled trades people (e.g. industrial, electrical, construction, maintenance, manufacturing, technical, chefs, butchers and bakers) who have offers of employment and meet language requirements the opportunity to gain permanent residency.
CANADIAN EXPERIENCE CLASS
A program for Temporary Foreign Workers who have at least one year of skilled, professional or technical work experience in Canada within 36 months of the application date, and who meet Canadian language requirements.
PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAMS
Based on their specific needs, each Canadian province (except Quebec, which has its own system) and two territories in Canada have their own programs and criteria for immigration; if you are interested in settling in a particular province, one of these programs may be for you. Eligibility differs between paper-based programs (non-Express Entry) and the online federal Express Entry stream. There are occupation-based programs, in which a province/territory is looking for immigrants with criteria including specific skills, work experience or job offer within the province, as well as other programs based on having a close family member residing in that province.
The Canadian government recognizes that families wish to stay together and has several ways for citizens and permanent residents (over 18 years of age) to sponsor loved ones from abroad.
Family Class
The Family Class allows permanent residents and Canadian citizens to sponsor relatives, including spouses, common-law or conjugal partners, dependent children, parents, grandparents and other close relatives for permanent residence in Canada. JFP Immigration has helped many families throughout all aspects of this process.
Family Class Sponsorship programs include:
Allows Canadian citizens or permanent residents to sponsor a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner, and children to become permanent residents.
Spousal sponsorship is a process where a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, who is living in Canada, applies to sponsor his/her spouse or common-law partner, and dependent children. The application must demonstrate that the couple is in a genuine relationship. JFP Immigration has helped many couples through the sponsorship process.
As for the dependent children, once the application is approved, they may come with their parent(s) to Canada. You can sponsor both your natural and adopted children under the age of 22. You can also sponsor the children of your sponsored spouse as well as children of the children.
This program allows Canadian citizens and permanent residents to sponsor their parents and grandparents to become permanent residents of Canada. The process can be intimidating, but we can help you navigate through all the areas and simplify the flow: from preparing the necessary forms, ensuring your file is complete and meeting the processing requirements up to the submission of the application package.
In order to be eligible to sponsor your parents or grandparents, you must meet specific requirements set out by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The sponsorship process usually takes about 18-24 months. JFP Immigration will make sure you meet all of the requirements and prepare your application as best as possible. We have helped hundreds of families come to Canada from all over the world.
Some Provincial Nominee Programs (PNP) offer Family Sponsorship programs that may be easier to qualify for than the Federal Family Class category of immigration. Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) allows provinces and territories to nominate individuals whose skills will contribute to regional economic development, and who want to settle in the nominating province or territory.
As of 2021, there are 11 provincial and territorial governments participating in the program. Each PNP has its own criteria for each stream. In total, there are about 85 provincial streams and almost 20 of them have been linked to Express Entry.
